2018 Pec & Burl ‘A Tale of Two Dudes’ Red Blend

Responsibly Farmed
Hidden Gem
Classic in Style

This Grenache/Syrah blend is medium-bodied and light on its feet, thanks to the vineyards close proximity to the pacific ocean. The wine is incredibly ripe, yet offset by a freshness that’s attributed to the limestone hills’ ability to maintain acid. Sustainable farming practices, native yeasts, and no fining / filtering were used.

Who are the two dudes, you may ask? Keaton Burlington and Dylan Pecchenino, both born and raised in California’s San Joaquin Valley.

“A Tale of Two Dudes” is the dynamic duo of Dylan Pecchenino (Pec) and Keaton Burlington (Burl); Two Stockton and Lodi born dudes with a hope and a dream — and stumbled into their own small wine label.

Dylan and Keaton have Enology degrees from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. They both started working in wine after college and are heavily influenced by their experiences working in various tasting rooms, vineyards and cellars. Today, Dylan and Keaton are lucky enough to source Rhône-style fruit from some premier vineyards in West Paso Robles’ Willow Creek AVA. Their winemaking practices remain as natural as possible, playing with native fermentations, periodic stem inclusion, no fining or filtering, and low sulfur additions. Their goal is minimal impact on the wines to allow the vineyards to showcase themselves and let the beauty of phenomenal farming practices take precedent in the glass.

“Continuing to develop and grow our own style is all part of the ride, and we are stoked about what is on board so far!”

Their wines are delicious, singular, and quirky just like them. At the end of the day, you get what you see: two dudes, their wine, and the journey that ensues. We are proud to release their inaugural wine to the public.
