Classic in Style

L’Abbaye de Morgeot is one of the most beautiful and beloved premier crus in Chassagne-Montrachet. This cru is known for producing full-bodied, deep white wines laden with complexity, structure and like most of his white wines, errs on the reductive side of things. If you like hints of smoke and flint, this is the White Burgundy producer for you!

Sustainable farming practices, native yeast fermentation, extended lees aging and long-term bottle aging.

Pierre-Yves Colin is one of Burgundy’s most highly regarded winemakers. After working at his father’s domaine for 11 years, Pierre-Yves established his own winery from inherited vines back in 2005. Since then, he has become a benchmark producer of white wines from the Côte de Beaune. All of his white wines are whole bunch pressed, spontaneously fermented, and aged for up to 18 months sur-lie in oak barrels with no batonnage (lees stirring). All wines are bottled unfiltered.

Pierre-Yves currently farms vines across some of Burgundy’s most beloved appellations, from Chassagne-Montrachet to Saint-Aubin and beyond. Nearly 20 years in, Pierre-Yves’ wines continue to get better and better (and more in demand) with every vintage. PYCM wines are known for their pleasantly reductive nature, mineral-driven flavor profiles, and serious ability to age – that is, if you have the patience to wait.
