Named for the neighboring oak forest, Querceto di Castellina has been in the hands of the Masini family since 1945. In 1989, Laura Masini—in conjunction with her husband Giorgio di Battista—restored the property’s 15th century structures and farm, with an emphasis on improving the life of the vines. However, it was ultimately Laura’s son, Jacopo, who bottled the first estate wine under the Querceto di Castellina name.

Under Jacopo’s oversight, Querceto di Castellina was always a sustainable property, though the family took operations a step further and became certified organic in 2012. In addition to winemaking, the family also houses an agriturismo site, Tuscan cooking facility, and a slew of other hospitality-focused entities on their property. In short, Querceto embodies everything that we love about Tuscany – good food, great wine, and an unbelievable sense of family-inspired dolce far niente.
