Tarte Flambee
From the Club Argaux Fall Test Kitchen: Tarte Flambee
Ingredients:
- Pizza dough (you can make your own or buy at store)
- ⅓ cup Fromage blanc (if you cannot find it, use cream cheese)
- ¼ cup Creme Fraiche
- 2 strips thick-cut bacon
- ⅓ cup white onion, roughly chopped
- Paprika
- Sage
Step 1 Preheat the oven to 425 degrees.
Step 2 The above ingredients are enough for about 8 people either with 1 larger tarte or 2-3 smaller ones. Place the dough on a baking sheet with some flour to avoid any sticking.
Step 3 Combine the fromage blanc and creme fraiche until smooth.
Step 4 Roll out the dough and drizzle with olive oil.
Step 5 Spread the fromage blanc mixture evenly across the dough and top with slices of bacon, onion, and torn sage.
Step 6 Place in the oven until golden brown, if you want to broil for a hot sec for good measure before removing from the oven that will crisp things up too.
Step 7 Before serving, sprinkle with Paprika. Enjoy!
