Gevrey-Chambertin is the largest of Burgundy's great red villages, a stretch of eastern-facing slope that has made some of the most storied Pinot Noir on earth for centuries. "Ma Cuvée" is Arnaud Mortet's village wine, and it comes with real lineage. Arnaud took over the family domaine from his late father, Denis Mortet, one of the names that put modern Gevrey on the map. He farms these parcels with the same obsessive care — low yields, careful hands in the cellar — and bottles a wine that tastes like the place it comes from.
In the glass, that means Pinot Noir the way Burgundy does it best. Expect ripe red cherry and wild raspberry up front, then something deeper underneath — rose petal, forest floor, a turn of warm earth and spice. The 2024 is silky and precise, with fine tannins and the bright acidity that lets a good Burgundy age gracefully for a decade or more.
