Named La Fuga, meaning "The Escape," this wine commemorates the planting of the vineyard in 2011 with Jan Alì Baiquiri, a 16-year-old Afghan refugee who had escaped war-torn Afghanistan and worked for the winery for a number of years.
Nestled in the rolling hills of Italy's Marche region, La Marca di San Michele is dedicated to crafting organic, terroir-driven wines that celebrate native grape varieties and the unique character of Castelli di Jesi. Through thoughtful farming and a minimalist approach in the cellar, the estate produces vibrant, expressive wines defined by freshness, minerality, and a true sense of place.
