Explore Sommelier-Selected Red Wines

Red wine is often the bottle people reach for first — for dinner parties, client gifts, cozy nights in, and the meals that invite everyone to stay a little longer.

The Argaux red wine collection is curated to show the range and beauty of the category. Here you will find wines with elegance, depth, structure, and a clear sense of place, from cool-climate Pinot Noir to classic Cabernet Sauvignon, old-world reds, and hidden gems from small producers.

Rather than choosing reds by reputation alone, the Argaux sommelier team looks for wines that feel thoughtful and memorable in the glass. We seek out independent producers, responsible farming, balanced winemaking, and bottles that bring something meaningful to the table — whether that is freshness, texture, history, or a story worth sharing.

Lighter reds can be beautiful with roasted chicken, salmon, mushrooms, charcuterie, and everyday meals. Fuller reds are ideal for steak, lamb, aged cheeses, celebratory dinners, and gifts that call for a little more presence. The right red wine does not need to feel complicated. It should feel considered, enjoyable, and easy to share.

Single-bottle purchases are available exclusively to Club Argaux members. You are welcome to explore the collection, discover the producers behind the wines, and join when you are ready to shop member-only bottles.

Frequently asked questions

What is the best red wine for gifting?

For gifting, choose something approachable but distinctive - a wine the recipient may not have discovered on their own. Pinot Noir, Cabernet Sauvignon, and elegant Italian reds are often well received. Argaux can also help select a bottle based on the recipient and occasion.

What food pairs well with red wine?

Lighter reds like Pinot Noir and Mencia pair beautifully with salmon, duck, mushrooms, and roasted vegetables. Fuller-bodied reds like Cabernet Sauvignon and Sangiovese shine alongside steak, lamb, tomato-based dishes, and aged cheeses.

How should I serve red wine?

Most red wines are best served slightly below room temperature, around 60-65°F. Fuller-bodied reds often benefit from 20-30 minutes of decanting, while lighter reds can be served with a slight chill.

Can I buy red wine without joining Club Argaux?

Single-bottle purchases are reserved for Club Argaux members. Wine gifts and curated gift sets are available for all shoppers.
