This Cab is grown on a west-facing slope, above the fog line, on the northern ridge of the Atlas Peak AVA. The palate is dense and complex, marked by a long and polished finish. All we can say is, there’s a reason this graces the wine list at the French Laundry.
Organic farming practices, unfined/unfiltered, vegan-friendly, and only 1,000 cases produced.
This wine is for a Pinot Noir oenophile.
The ‘Les Champeaux’ premier cru vineyard was planted in 1987 on the northern edge of Gevrey-Chambertin. It’s located high up on the slope with south-east facing exposure which allows for slow and steady ripening. The result is a wine with great purity, structure and incredibly silky tannins.
Biodynamic farming practices, hand-harvested, native yeast fermentation, unfined/unfiltered, vegan-friendly, and only 75 cases produced.
Reminiscing on that delicious carafe of bistro wine from your last jaunt to Paris? There’s a good chance that it was made from Cabernet Franc. Best known as the signature red grape of the Loire Valley, these peppery, earthy wines are perfect for enjoying chilled with a variety of hearty fare—and this affordable, well-made expression from fifth-generation winemakers Thierry and Lydie Chancelle at Domaine Chancelle is no exception.
Sustainable farming practices, 40-year-old vines, hand harvested, and vinified in a combination of tank and used oak foudres. Light filtration prior to release.
This rustic Pinot Noir hails from a premier cru climat just west of Gevrey-Chambertin. The palate is medium-bodied with rich and concentrated flavors, nice acidity, and integrated tannins. Aged for 19 months in barrel (50% new oak).
Like all of Burguet’s wines, this bottle is produced from organic (converting to biodynamic) fruit, native yeasts, and is bottled unfined / unfiltered. Only 50 cases produced.
