2020 Ottomani Tuscan Extra-Virgin Olive Oil
This olive oil is from Impruneta & Greve in Chianti, an area just 9 miles south of Florence and traditionally known as the best region for Tuscan olive oil production.
It is a blend of 40% Moraiolo, 40% Frantoio, 15% Leccino, 5% Coreggiolo; all native Tuscan varieties. The olives are hand-harvested in small baskets and pressed off within 12 hours of being picked. Cold extraction is used and extremely minimal oxygen is introduced to preserve its aromatics and concentration of flavor.
Organic/biodynamic farming practices.
Use this in dressings, pestos, as a dip with some focaccia, or drizzle it on any dish as the finishing step.
2020 Weingut Griesbauerhof Alto Adige Pinot Grigio
Bored of Pinot Grigio? Us too. Trust us when we say that this wine does NOT fall into the average PG category. Alto Adige is an alpine winemaking region in northern Italy that makes stimulating Pinot Grigio that’s worth your attention.
This wine has hints of green pear, lemon zest, dried apricot, almond skin, cheese rind, cherry blossom, and a wet glacial minerality. Medium-bodied with a persistent finish of saline minerality and citrus rind.
Organic farming practices, native yeast fermentation, and only 150 cases produced.
Pair with sushi, red curry lentil soup, or this recipe for Date Night Lemon Pappardelle with Shrimp.
2018 Ottomani Chianti Classico DOCG
100% Sangiovese from 30-year-old vines. This wine has aromas of dark red cherry, red plum, dried herbs, balsamic vinegar, sweet smoke, and potpourri. The red cherries come through on the palate alongside dried oregano, leather, espresso bean, and tobacco. The tannins and acidity integrate nicely to create a long finish.
Organic/biodynamic farming practices, hand-harvested, and native yeast fermentation.
This is the ultimate pasta wine! Enjoy with spaghetti, bolognese, or Braised Short Rib Mushroom Sauce with Pappardelle.
