The most striking thing about this Pinot Noir is how smooth and soft the palate is. This is a very approachable burgundy. It’s ready to drink now, but will continue to age beautifully over the next 10 years.

WELCOME TO the ARGAUX WINE 101 TASTING KIT FOR BEGINNERS
New to wine and not sure where to start? It can be overwhelming, but we’re here to simplify things. Our team of sommeliers has curated “starter kits” focused on 4 major grape varieties – Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Cabernet Sauvignon.
Each kit includes 3 bottles of wine: 2 classic examples of the grape variety selected, plus a “wild card” chosen by an Argaux sommelier. The wild card is our recommendation, something different and unique, but similar in body and style to the said grape variety.

Enjoy this Cargaux taster pack of cool-climate Syrah and Pinot Noir that was handmade by Chase Carhartt in conjunction with Nathalia and Hannes Storm (of Storm Wines) in the heart of South Africa’s Western Cape.
Now two years in, Cargaux (pronounced Car-GO) is taking some serious ground. “In my opinion, South Africa’s Western Cape is one of the most intriguing wine regions on the planet,” Chase explains. “What initially attracted me to this part of the world is the combination of the country’s history in wine, alongside a new and unique identity that is emerging in the current day.”
Fruit for this exquisite wine hails from 30-year-old Puligny vines from four different lieu-dits: Les Meix, Corvée des Vignes, Noyer Bret, Les Houlières. Vibrant and energetic, the wine shows its class with clear minerality and terroir expression. The precise palate is beautifully balanced, with a fine thread of acidity framing its pure fruit flavors. Aged for 12 months in barrel + 6 months in tank. A truly exceptional wine!
Lieu-dit is a French term that refers to a specific part of a vineyard recognized for its historical or topographical specificities.
No category of wine sparks debate like that of natural wine. Love it, hate it, or simply just don’t understand it, this hands-off style of winemaking is becoming more and more popular amongst consumers and industry folk alike.

The ‘Les Tillets’ vineyard is not classified as a premier cru, but it should be. It is the highest altitude site in Meursault and it produces a more high-toned, Puligny-esque style wine that contrasts with the typical roundness of Meursault. Organic farming practices, native yeasts, and bottled unfined / unfiltered.
A handful of Burgundy’s top producers farm vines in Les Tillets, including Jean-Marc Roulot, Antoine Jobard, and of course, Pierre Girardin.
This wine is a blend of Chardonnay from 30-year-old vines from three premier crus in Saint-Aubin: ‘Les Perrieres,’ ‘Les Combes,’ and ‘Les Creots.’ The wine ferments and ages for 3 months in stainless steel and 14 months in French oak barrels (25% new). Produced using sustainable farming practices, indigenous yeasts, and bottled unfined / unfiltered.
Although no grand crus exist in the region, Saint-Aubin is home to a whopping 30 premier crus!
Bright and zingy on the nose, this aromatic wine is bright, earthy, and produced from sustainably-farmed fruit. Aged for 21 months in French barrels (40% new). Think of Points West as the more savory cuvée, and this one as its smoother, sleeker counterpart.
The Presqu’ile Vineyard was planted in 1997 and is rooted in sandy loam soils. It spans 8 acres of land and is dedicated to handful of grape varieties.
This is an incredibly beautiful dessert wine from one of the most established Sauternes producers in Bordeaux. It is made from 100% botrytis infected Semillon. It’s both delicate and energetic with hints of chamomile tea, ginger, cooked apple, honeysuckle and orange blossom. It finishes with a spicy minerality that lingers on the palate.
Enjoy after dinner with some blue cheese or Poached Apricots With Pistachio and Amaretto Mascarpone.
75% Pinot Noir and 25% Chardonnay from the Vallée de la Marne.
This bottling is from Jean-Paul’s (the winemaker) favorite parcel in Mareuil and is intended as a tribute to its terroir. This Champagne has a noble, Pinot Noir fragrance, leading to an utter masterpiece of weightless concentration. It has juiciness, minerality, lift, structure and length. It’s the perfect balance and could age another 15 years.
Pair with Pistachio-Crusted Scallops, oysters or a light chicken dish.
