2021 Domaine Pinson Frères Chablis ‘Les Clos’ Grand Cru
$130.00For those who love Chablis, you know that ‘Les Clos’ is the emblematic, top Grand Cru of Chablis. The 50+ year old vines sit on a steep slope and enjoy the perfect sun exposure which provides ideal ripening conditions. 2021 for Chablis is adamantly old-school in its tension and inscrutably mineral depths. If you had to describe the vintage in one word it would be ‘aristocratic.’
Organic farming practices, hand-harvested, native yeast fermentation in 80% stainless steel tanks, 20% new oak and aged in 3-4 year old barrels.

2021 Marc Colin Chassagne-Montrachet ‘Cuvée Margot’
$164.00Marc Colin is one of the G.O.A.Ts and this wine comes from ‘Les Encegnieres’ vineyard. There are two “Les Encégnières/Les Enceignières” parcels- one in Chassagne-Montrachet that lies directly underneath Grand Cru Bâtard, and one in Puligny-Montrachet that lies directly beneath Grand Cru Bienvenue-Bâtard. That is as close as you are going to get for hundreds of dollars less.

2021 Domaine Henri Boillot Bourgogne Blanc
$52.00This Burgundy is really fine and bright. The grapes come from Meursault, Auxey-Duresse and Puligny-Montrachet. The flavor intensity is subtle and the use of oak is on point. It’s a well-balanced wine that doesn’t lean too heavy in any direction. I recently enjoyed this with pistachio crusted salmon and couscous. It was an excellent pairing!
Organic farming practices, hand-harvested and aged in 350 litre neutral French oak barrels for 18 months.

2019 Domaine Alain Burguet Gevrey-Chambertin ‘Les Champeaux’ Premier Cru

The ‘Les Champeaux’ premier cru vineyard was planted in 1987 on the northern edge of Gevrey-Chambertin. It’s located high up on the slope with south-east facing exposure which allows for slow and steady ripening. The result is a wine with great purity, structure and incredibly silky tannins.
