    We’re not sure if yummy is an official tasting note, but that’s what this wine is. The 2019 is a bright and energetic vintage; velvety and fresh. The blend of Frappato and Calabrese is a perfect marriage, balanced and complete. There is enough vibrance and freshness to drink well on its own, but just enough tannin and acid to be versatile at table.

  • 2023 Raul Perez Atalier “A Cruz das Animas” Rias Baixas Albariño

    Atalier is the exciting new Rías Baixas Albariño project from the redoubtable Raúl Pérez, and this wine is nothing short of explosive. It leaps out of the glass with aromas of oyster shell and etherized granite and follows through with a palate rich in marine-inflected yellow and green fruits and sporting a powerful surge of acidity.

    Fermented and aged in large, neutral French oak foudres. The oxygenation that occurs during this élevage gives the wine a softer, rounder entry that balances out the razor-sharp acidity. Biodynamic and organic.

The 50+ year old vines sit on a steep slope and enjoy the perfect sun exposure which provides ideal ripening conditions. 2021 for Chablis is adamantly old-school in its tension and inscrutably mineral depths. If you had to describe the vintage in one word it would be ‘aristocratic.’

    Libera Terra is a non-profit organization that has taken on the restoration of land in Italy that was previously controlled by the mafia. Centopassi is a collection of vineyards on Sicily that they confiscated from the mafia and gave back to the local farmers. The result are wines that are distinctively Sicilian – bright, refreshing, salty & volcanic – la dolce vita in a glass.
