  • 2021 Railsback Frères ‘Les Rascasses’ Rosé

Produced by Lyle and Eric Railsback, this Santa Ynez Valley rosé is proof that top-notch rosé doesn’t just come from Provence. This wine pays homage to Lulu Peyraud of Domaine Tempier and her infamous bouillabaisse recipe. If you aren’t going to make bouillabaisse, then enjoy this with a creamy cheese & olive tapenade.

Hand-picked, direct-to-press, native yeast fermentation, and aged in neutral French oak barrels for 6 months, naturally allowing a Malolactic, or secondary fermentation, for a creamier mouth-feel.

The 50+ year old vines sit on a steep slope and enjoy the perfect sun exposure which provides ideal ripening conditions. 2021 for Chablis is adamantly old-school in its tension and inscrutably mineral depths.
