2022 Pedro Parra y Familia ‘Imaginador’ Cinsault Itata Valley
Pedro Parra, aka Dr. Terroir (literally has a PHD in terroir), is the world’s leading ‘geologist of wine.’ When he’s not consulting for the very best producers in marquee wine regions, Parra is making old-vine cinsault 300 miles south of Santiago. Although light in weight, this wine offers a punch flavor and compelling structure. Enjoy with lamb, game, cured meats, or earthy stews.
Organic farming practices, family-owned, hand-harvested, dry-farmed, 100% whole cluster fermentation with native yeasts and only 1,100 cases produced annually.
2019 Domaine Alain Burguet Gevrey-Chambertin ‘Lavaux Saint Jacques’ Premier Cru
This rustic Pinot Noir hails from a premier cru climat just west of Gevrey-Chambertin. The palate is medium-bodied with rich and concentrated flavors, nice acidity, and integrated tannins. Aged for 19 months in barrel (50% new oak).
Like all of Burguet’s wines, this bottle is produced from organic (converting to biodynamic) fruit, native yeasts, and is bottled unfined / unfiltered. Only 50 cases produced.
