This wine is a history lesson in a glass. Cahors is one of the oldest wines produced in Europe and Clos La Coutale is one of the region’s oldest domaines that was founded before the French Revolution! Think of Cahors as the sophisticated but humbler country cousin of Bordeaux. It’s loaded with personality and a great party pick. We are in the season of stews, roasts and game, and this French Malbec just fits the bill.
Organic farming practices and aged for a year in French oak barrels.
Born from the volcanic soils of Lipari Island, Ypsilon is red wine that is agile and contemporary, for carefree drinking, but also for bolder pairings. It is a blend of Corinto Nero, Nero d’Avola, and Alicante grapes cultivated as bush vines on the Castellaro plain, 350 meters above the Aeolian sea.
This wine is shaped by the island’s sun-drenched days and cool, breezy nights. Layers of dark berries, wild herbs, and a touch of Mediterranean spice unfold on the palate, balanced by a fresh minerality and elegant, refined tannins. A true taste of Sicily’s untamed beauty.
Organic farming practices, hand-harvested, native yeast fermentation, no fining, vegan.
Scribe, a pioneer of terroir-driven winemaking in Sonoma, makes one of our all-time favorite Pinots. Invite a few close friends over for an intimate dinner, light some candles, play some jazz and serve wild mushroom risotto topped with fish, chicken or as is! This Pinot will go with it all.
Organic farming practices, hand-harvested, native yeast fermentation (30% whole cluster), and aged 7 months in neutral oak with minimal intervention.
This Southern Rhone stunner comes from Saint-Montan, halfway between Cornas and Châteauneuf-du-Pape. The wine is smoothe and velvety with just enough weight to pair with a burger. This wine is a crowd-pleaser.
