Château Canon is a prestigious winery located in the Saint-Émilion appellation of the Bordeaux region in France. It traces its origins back to the 18th century. The estate was named after Jacques Kanon, a successful privateer who purchased the property in 1760. Kanon developed the estate and planted the vineyards that would become the foundation of its renowned wine production. Over the centuries, Château Canon has changed hands several times. In 1996, it was acquired by the Wertheimer family, owners of the fashion house Chanel. Under their stewardship, significant investments were made to restore and modernize the estate, enhancing its reputation for producing high-quality wines.

The vineyards of Château Canon are situated on the famous limestone plateau of Saint-Émilion, which is renowned for producing wines of exceptional quality. Committed to sustainable viticulture, the estate employs only environmentally friendly practices to maintain the health of the vineyard and the surrounding ecosystem. The grapes are hand-harvested to ensure that only the best fruit is selected. This careful selection process is crucial for maintaining the high quality of the wines.

The second wine of the estate, Croix Canon, offers a more approachable style while still reflecting the quality and character of Château Canon. It is made from younger vines and selected parcels of the vineyard.
