Dating back to the 14th century, Château Giscours is one of the most historic estates in Margaux and has long been regarded as one of the appellation’s standout Third Growths from the famed 1855 Classification. Situated on deep gravel soils ideally suited for Cabernet Sauvignon, the estate is known for producing wines that beautifully balance Margaux’s signature elegance with depth, structure, and longevity.

In recent years, Château Giscours has become equally recognized for its significant investment in sustainable and environmentally conscious farming. The estate has steadily moved toward more organic and regenerative vineyard practices, focusing on biodiversity, soil vitality, and long-term vineyard health. Cover crops, reduced chemical intervention, and careful canopy management are all used to encourage healthier vines and greater expression of terroir. Horses are even used in select vineyard parcels to minimize soil compaction and preserve the delicate ecosystem of the vineyard.

This thoughtful evolution in farming, combined with meticulous winemaking, has elevated Giscours into one of the most exciting and respected estates in Margaux today – producing wines with remarkable purity, freshness, and a true sense of place.
