This rosé is made from old-vine Syrah that is grown amongst the redwoods, just north of Big Sur. It’s a rosé with a true expression of place, tasting like the coastal fog and crisp mountain air the California Coast.
Sustainable farming practices, hand-harvested, direct press, and native yeast fermentation.
This gem is the second wine of Baron Philippe de Rothschild and remains firmly within the Rothschild family portfolio today. It benefits from the same technical leadership and winemaking expertise as its legendary neighbor, Château Mouton Rothschild, whose vineyards border it to the north — resulting in a wine that consistently overdelivers in pedigree and polish.
Drinking Window: Now – 2039. If enjoying before 2028, open 3 hours prior to serving and decant for 2 hours if possible.
Sustainable farming practices, hand-harvested, fermented in stainless steel tanks and aged for 18 months in French oak barrels (50% new, 50% used).
The 2023 Jean-Paul Dubost Brouilly Vieilles Vignes is a classic Beaujolais red made from Gamay vines aged between 50 and over 100 years. It is known for its intense mineral profile, featuring notes of graphite and iron alongside vibrant red fruit like cherry, raspberry, and plum. Expect a “savory” character with floral aromas of flowers like violet and peony, balanced by bright acidity and powdery tannins.
Dubost uses low-intervention methods, including whole-cluster semi-carbonic maceration and natural fermentation with minimal sulfur added only at bottling.
