2022 Bachelet-Monnot Maranges ‘La Fussiere’ Blanc Premier Cru
Fruit for this 1er cru White Burgundy comes from the highest vineyard site in Maranges (avg. 30 years in age). This is a sneaky premier cru that I think would keep an eye on. It may be the best valued Burgundy on the market.
Organic farming practices, hand-harvested, native yeast fermentation and aged for 12 months in barrel.
2024 Bastide de la Ciselette Bandol ‘Var’ Rosé
Bandol rosé is in a class of its own. It is said to be the most food-friendly rosé in the world which is why it is praised by chefs like Alice Waters. It is beautifully light in color but has depth and structure from the Mourvèdre.
Pair this with actual food (think: grilled lamb, bouillabaisse, Niçoise salad, Provençal vegetables) and not just snacks by the pool. It will not disappoint!
Certified organic farming practices, with some biodynamic practices- no use of pesticides or herbicides. They follow the lunar calendar, plow by horse and hand-harvest, fermented cold in stainless steel to preserve freshness.
2023 Scribe Carneros Pinot Noir
Scribe, a pioneer of terroir-driven winemaking in Sonoma, makes one of our all-time favorite Pinots. Invite a few close friends over for an intimate dinner, light some candles, play some jazz and serve wild mushroom risotto topped with fish, chicken or as is! This Pinot will go with it all.
Organic farming practices, hand-harvested, native yeast fermentation (30% whole cluster), and aged 7 months in neutral oak with minimal intervention.
2018 Domaine Alain Burguet Chambertin ‘Clos de Bèze’ Grand Cru
If you know, you know. ‘Clos de Bèze’ is the most prestigious and sought-after Grand Crus in Gevrey-Chambertin. For collectors, this wine is a great investment. It will only continue to appreciate in value as it ages over the next 10-20 years.
Practicing organic viticulture, hand-harvested, native yeast fermentation, unfined/unfiltered and only 100 cases produced.
