You’ve gone from shrubland to woodland to highland. When you stop to sip on a Chief Peak, the piney hops are first to arrive. The tropical tones of passion fruit, orange, and gooseberry aren’t far behind. Look out on the valley and trace the contours of the mountain. Breathe in the thinning air, wipe the sweat from your brow, and take another well-earned sip.
As you wade in the current, the work week fades to gray. When the line strikes and you begin that delicate dance, there’s no choice but to be in the moment. The refreshing citrus aromas and woodsy notes are like the creek passing through the forest. It’s a West Coast Pale Ale for a West Coast way of life.
This is not over-oaked California Chardonnay, and it’s not searingly acidic French Chardonnay. It’s Oregon Chardonnay through and through; the perfectly subtle and level-headed middle sister we all wish we’d see more of.
Organic farming practices, dry-farmed, hand-harvested, native yeast fermentation, and unfined/unfiltered.
This Chardonnay comes from one of our most trusted winemakers, Marc Piro. The vineyard sits less than 20 miles from the Pacific Ocean which gives it a refreshing and crisp structure, but round fruit flavors. It’s the first Chardonnay under the Piro label and we were given exclusive access to allocate it for our club members.
Sustainable farming practices and only 120 cases produced annually.
