Domaine Guiberteau, located in the Loire Valley’s Saumur region, is renowned for producing high-quality, terroir-driven wines. Originally established in the early 20th century, the domaine has risen to prominence under the leadership of Romain Guiberteau, who took over in 1996. Committed to organic farming and minimal intervention, Romain transformed the estate, earning a reputation for some of the finest wines in the area.

The estate specializes in two key grape varieties: Chenin Blanc for whites and Cabernet Franc for reds. Their Saumur Blanc wines, made from Chenin Blanc, are known for their precision, minerality, and vibrant acidity, often showcasing notes of citrus, pear, and stone fruits with a long, refreshing finish. The domaine’s whites range from dry and crisp to rich and textured, depending on the vineyard site.

For reds, their Saumur Rouge, crafted from Cabernet Franc, offers a balance of purity and intensity, with flavors of red and black fruits, earthy undertones, and fine tannins. Guiberteau’s reds are often celebrated for their freshness and aging potential, as well as their reflection of the region’s limestone-rich soils.

Domaine Guiberteau’s wines are highly regarded for their elegance and expression of terroir, making them incredibly sought after by the top Michelin-starred restaurants globally.
