2022 Pierre-Yves Colin-Morey Chassagne-Montrachet ‘Abbaye de Morgeot’ Premier Cru

Responsibly Farmed
Hidden Gem
Classic in Style

Colin-Morey is the master of Chassagne – no one is working more compellingly. Mentioned in the same breath as Coche-Dury and Roulot, PYCM has officially reached cult status thanks to this wine. This is the best bottle of ‘L’Abbaye de Morgeot’ on the market.

This vineyard is known for producing full-bodied, complex white wines—but this bottle turns everything on its head. Razor-sharp, impossibly elegant, and pulsing with precision, it defies expectations in the most thrilling way. It’s the kind of wine that makes you stop mid-sip and question everything you thought you knew. Drink now through 2040.

Sustainable farming practices, native yeast fermentation, extended lees aging and long-term bottle aging.

Pierre-Yves Colin is one of Burgundy’s most highly regarded winemakers. After working at his father’s domaine for 11 years, Pierre-Yves established his own winery from inherited vines back in 2005. Since then, he has become a benchmark producer of white wines from the Côte de Beaune. All of his white wines are whole bunch pressed, spontaneously fermented, and aged for up to 18 months sur-lie in oak barrels with no batonnage (lees stirring). All wines are bottled unfiltered.

Pierre-Yves currently farms vines across some of Burgundy’s most beloved appellations, from Chassagne-Montrachet to Saint-Aubin and beyond. Nearly 20 years in, Pierre-Yves’ wines continue to get better and better (and more in demand) with every vintage. PYCM wines are known for their pleasantly reductive nature, mineral-driven flavor profiles, and serious ability to age – that is, if you have the patience to wait.
