Taralas Winery is located just outside Naoussa and cultivates about 100 acres of organic vineyards at an altitude of 300 meters. The Taralas family originated from Eastern Romulia and Nikolaos Taralas brought his viticultural knowledge to Greece in the 20th century. He had vineyards and worked in wine until the start of the second world war when his land was confiscated. Now, two generations later, after his retirement in 2006, Dimitrios Taralas decided to revive his family’s history and set up a state-of-the-art winery.
One side of the estate is cultivated with the varieties Preknadi, Cabernet Sauvignon, Moschomavro, Negoska, and Roditis while the other areas with Merlot and of course Xinomavro.

2019 Domaine Alain Burguet Gevrey-Chambertin ‘Lavaux Saint Jacques’ Premier Cru
$225.00This rustic Pinot Noir hails from a premier cru climat just west of Gevrey-Chambertin. The palate is medium-bodied with rich and concentrated flavors, nice acidity, and integrated tannins. Aged for 19 months in barrel (50% new oak).
Like all of Burguet’s wines, this bottle is produced from organic (converting to biodynamic) fruit, native yeasts, and is bottled unfined / unfiltered. Only 50 cases produced.
