Château d’Armailhac traces its roots to the 14th century and was classified as a Fifth Growth in the 1855 Bordeaux Classification. The estate was acquired in 1933 by Baron Philippe de Rothschild, expanding the family’s holdings alongside neighboring Château Mouton Rothschild. After several name changes over the decades, Baroness Philippine de Rothschild restored the historic name Château d’Armailhac in 1989. Today, it remains part of the Rothschild family portfolio, benefiting from shared technical leadership and producing a classic Pauillac known for its Cabernet-driven structure, gravelly minerality, and long aging potential.
