This wine is aromatic, light-bodied and refreshing. Its profile includes floral notes, citrus fruits, and green apples. On the palate, there is a beautiful balance between the citrus fruits and mineral notes with a touch of nuttiness on the finish.

Certified organic farming practices, hand-harvested, native yeast fermentation, and only 583 cases produced.

Born in Marseille, Christophe Ferrandis has strong family roots in Corsica. After working several years at Bandol-based Domaine Pibarnon, Christophe moved to Corsica to consult fo ra cooperative. In 2001, with help from his uncle (who grew up in Corsica), Christopher was able to find a few hectares of old vines and create his very own domaine. 

Clos Signadore is located in Poggio d’Oletta, located within the inland, more mountainous portion of the Patrimonio AOC. HIs estate is planted with 40-year-old Niellucciu vines, the island’s signature red grape variety, which is closely related to Sangiovese. Small amounts of Vermentinu (Vermentino) are also planted. Christophe’s vines are divided into four distinct terroirs, which are blended together to create an all-encompassing survey of the region. Since its early days, chemicals have not been used in the vineyard. The domaine has been certified organic since 2010.

“In 2020, Lexi and I met Christopher and tasted his wines for the first time during a trip to Burgundy. We were instantly blown away by the precision in each bottle! In a lineup of mostly Burgundies, Christopher’s wines didn’t just hold their own – they were actually better and more complex than many of the Pinot Noirs and Chardonnays.
