The young winemakers behind the Athletes du Vin cooperative negociant project are among the best-known and most respected Loire Valley vignerons of their generation, including Thierry Germain, Pierre Breton and Matthieu Vallee (of Chateau Yvonne). Les Athlètes du Vin is a project focused on typical, value-driven wines from the Loire Valley. The wines are vinified by various members of the Vini Be Good network using their own grapes or grapes purchased from friends and neighbors in the Loire. It’s all about minimal intervention, using natural yeast for fermentation, stainless steel, concrete and old oak along with minimum sulfur addition and light or no filtration depending on the Cuvee. They aim to make delicious and real wine. This mouthwatering Chenin Blanc comes from 35+ year old vines grown in the sandy/clay soils of Touraine in the mid Loire Valley.

The labels are created by French artist, illustrator, and cartoonist Michel Tolmer, who has been the unofficial lead artist of the French natural wine movement since the 1990s.
