2022 Dönnhoff Weissburgunder Trocken
Although less popular than its Pinot Gris / Grigio and Pinot Noir relatives, make no mistake—high-quality expressions of Pinot Blanc are absolutely worth seeking out. Crafted from vineyard sites across the Nahe, this full-bodied expression from Donnhoff ages for six to nine months on the lees in new, large-format (1,200 liters) German oak barrels prior to release. Floral, flavor-packed, and oozing with notes of apple blossom, pear skin, and sage, this top-tier bottle absolutely merits some attention (especially from fans of German wines!)
Sustainable and dry-farmed vineyards, native yeast fermentation, and minimal intervention. History and family-owned estate. Fair’n Green certified.
