Responsibly Farmed
Hidden Gem
Classic in Style

Whether you’re lighting some candles and serving up beef bourguignon or ordering pizza for an impromptu game night, this wine fits the bill and will please the crowd effortlessly.

I love it with a stew, burgers, pizza, or any smoky barbecued dishes—its bold fruit and spice stand up well to hearty flavors.

Certified sustainable farming practices (HVE), hand-harvested, native yeast fermentation in stainless steel then aged in French oak barriques.

Domaine de Durban has been a family-run estate since 1967, when Jacques Leydier acquired a modest 13 hectares of vineyards—then mostly Grenache reds and a few hectares of Muscat. Over the decades, the Leydier family has expanded the estate significantly; today they manage some 55–60 hectares, including parcels devoted to Beaumes-de-Venise rouge, Muscat de Beaumes-de-Venise, and even some Gigondas. Now in its third generation, the estate is overseen by brothers Henri and Philippe Leydier, with Henri managing the winery and Philippe caring for the vineyards. The terroir is a big part of their story: high-altitude slopes, clay-limestone and “Triassic” soils, and pine forests that buffer the mistral winds, all of which help produce wines marked by both power and aromatic finesse.
