“Nearly every wine, from the light Grüner Veltliner to the red wines and the sparkling wines, has the potential to be the best of that vintage in its category,” declares Peter Moser, editor and publisher of Falstaff Wine Guide, Austria’s most respected and comprehensive wine publication.

Willi Bründlmayer manages 90 hectares of vineyards in Langenlois, growing Grüner Veltliner, Riesling, St. Laurent, Zweigelt, and Burgundian varieties. In 2016, Andreas Wickhoff MW joined as general manager. The vineyards, located in the Kamptal region, benefit from a diverse terroir with unique microclimates and large diurnal temperature swings, crucial for a long growing season. The estate features famous vineyards like Zöbinger Heiligenstein and Lamm, known for their ancient sandstone and loess soils. Bründlmayer has old vines, some over 50 years old, and is certified organic by LACON, an outside, objective, certifying body. His winemaking process involves minimal intervention, with careful grape selection and blending techniques to enhance the wine’s complexity.
