Wines from Spain

Deep blue tempranillo grapes hanging from a vine Spanish wine is an ideal segway into wines of the Old World. With a long history of wine production, Spanish wines have recently come into distinction with international markets. With three broad climatic zones and six geographical regions, Spain boasts the highest vineyard acreage in the world. However, their yields are consistently relatively low due to vine spacing and limited water use. Spain is home to top wine varieties like Tempranillo, Garnacha (Grenache), Monastrell and other indigenous grapes, including Albariño, Airén, and Mencía.
