This is the flagship wine from the 4th generation Eguren family winery in San Vicente de la Sonsierra (Rioja Alta). Gran Reserva Riojas are only produced in the best years and 2016 was excellent – widely considered one of the best in recent history. This wine is lights out and drinking like velvet right now.

Organic farming practices, with certain selective biodynamic practices, hand-harvested, native yeast fermentation, malolactic fermentation in barrel. Aged for 26 months in oak barrels (25% is new oak).
