  • 2019 Domaine Alain Burguet Gevrey-Chambertin ‘Les Champeaux’ Premier Cru

    This wine is for a Pinot Noir oenophile.

    The ‘Les Champeaux’ premier cru vineyard was planted in 1987 on the northern edge of Gevrey-Chambertin. It’s located high up on the slope with south-east facing exposure which allows for slow and steady ripening. The result is a wine with great purity, structure and incredibly silky tannins.

  • 2018 Walson Holland Santa Barbara Mélange Rouge

    The 2018 Mélange Rouge is a wine marked by intense perfumed aromatics and a seamlessly integrated palate. Supple tannins and mouth-watering acidity lead to a round finish. This wine was aged for 22 months on the lees in French oak barrels (35% new) and was bottled unfined / unfiltered.

    The unique blend of this wine is made up of 54% Syrah, 25% Grenache, 9% Graciano, 6% Petite Sirah, and 6% Viognier. Only 400 cases were produced.

    Forget the stereotypes you may have heard – this is not your typical Chardonnay. It’s lean, mean, and completely jumps out of the glass. Medium bodied and refreshing, the wine’s 12 months of aging in oak barrels (24% new) adds the perfect amount of body weight to this well-balanced bottle.

  • 2019 Domaine de la Bonne Tonne ‘Cuvée Cléa’ Regnie Beaujolais

    This varietal Gamay is everything you want from Cru Beaujolais: it’s medium bodied, it’s acid laden, and it’s loaded silky, fruit-driven flavors with a touch of soft, sweet spice on the finish. The wine is as natural as it gets: organic/biodynamic, hand-harvested, native yeasts, and bottled unfined/unfiltered.

    This wine is named after Anne-Laure and Thomas’ first little girl, Cléa, who was born in 2017. Thomas likes to say that it matches his daughter’s personality, which is “full of character.” Only 91 cases produced.

    This “Tuesday night” Pinot Noir from Athlètes du Vin is lively, fresh, and noted with a subtle earthy funk. The wine was made from sustainably-farmed fruit and native yeasts in the heart of the Loire Valley and is definitely best served slightly chilled. Minimal sulfur added and only 5,000 cases produced.

    We say Tuesday night wine, though what we really mean is that this bottle is perfect for popping and sipping on the fly any day of the week.

    Like all of Burguet’s wines, this bottle is produced from organic (converting to biodynamic) fruit, native yeasts, and is bottled unfined / unfiltered.
