    Cult wine producer, Francois Mikulski, has been working Dessus vineyard since 1992. The vines are over 50 years old and they face southeast on the hillside of Meursault which is perfect for maximum amount of sunlight. Wines from ‘Poruzots’ tend to be more elegant and feminine than the other Meursault premier crus. Ideal drinking window is 2023-2030.

  • 2019 Domaine Alain Burguet Gevrey-Chambertin ‘Les Champeaux’ Premier Cru

    This wine is for a Pinot Noir oenophile.

    The ‘Les Champeaux’ premier cru vineyard was planted in 1987 on the northern edge of Gevrey-Chambertin. It’s located high up on the slope with south-east facing exposure which allows for slow and steady ripening. The result is a wine with great purity, structure and incredibly silky tannins.

    Biodynamic farming practices, hand-harvested, native yeast fermentation, unfined/unfiltered, vegan-friendly, and only 75 cases produced.

    The 2018 Mélange Rouge is a wine marked by intense perfumed aromatics and a seamlessly integrated palate. Supple tannins and mouth-watering acidity lead to a round finish. This wine was aged for 22 months on the lees in French oak barrels (35% new) and was bottled unfined / unfiltered.

    The unique blend of this wine is made up of 54% Syrah, 25% Grenache, 9% Graciano, 6% Petite Sirah, and 6% Viognier. Only 400 cases were produced.

    “Aux Boudots” is a premier wine from PYCM that we feel lucky to receive six bottles of every year. The wine is well-structured, round, and robust, yet stylish and elegant. Drink now through 2030 and decant for 30-60 minutes before consuming. Produced using sustainable farming practices, hand-harvested fruit, indigenous yeast fermentation, and bottled unfined / unfiltered.

    This vineyard site lies in the “Zone Vosnoise” on the northern end of Nuits-Saint-Georges, just an eyeshot away from the famed “La Tache” vineyard.

  • 2018 Domaine Alain Burguet Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru ‘Lavaux Saint Jacques’

    This rustic Pinot Noir hails from a premier cru climat just west of Gevrey-Chambertin. The palate is medium-bodied with rich and concentrated flavors, nice acidity, and integrated tannins. Aged for 19 months in barrel (50% new oak). Only 50 cases produced.

    Like all of Burguet’s wines, this bottle is produced from organic (converting to biodynamic) fruit, native yeasts, and is bottled unfined / unfiltered.

    This NSG bottling is a classic representation of Pinot Noir and depicts a very good expression of terroir. The wine shows an amazing balance and acidity.     This 80% Chardonnay / 20% Pinot Noir from Rilly la Montagne 1er Cru – Blanches Voies is almost overwhelmingly generous yet finesse-ful, salty, and spicy (think five-spice mix, specifically). This will grow incredibly complex with time in the cellar and in the glass. Pair with oysters, scallop tartare or foie gras and a fancy night!
