Sauvignon Blanc, a very recognizable white wine that is popularly dry, refreshingly zesty, and has strong, fruity and herbal characteristics. Ever hear of the term “pyrazines?” It’s a term noting the strong herbaceous flavors that are derived from compounds called Methoxypyrazines. These compounds are also found in bell peppers!
This wine is a flagship varietal to both the Loire Valley in France (Sancerre) and to New Zealand. The Sauvignon Blancs from New Zealand tend to be more aromatic and have tropical fruit notes than those from France. Usually fermented in stainless steel vats, Sauvignon Blanc gives a clean, crisp flavor with occasional mineral notes. However there are no characteristics from oak, as you would normally see in a grape varietal like Chardonnay. If you're a fan of oak, look out for Fumé Blanc, this style of wine is an oaked-version of Sauvignon Blanc.

This is the kind of Sancerre that reminds you why the region became famous in the first place. From one of the Loire Valley’s most respected family domaines, this wine is crisp and energetic, but layered enough to hold its own at the table. Think oysters, goat cheese, fresh salads, grilled fish, or roast chicken. The kind of bottle that disappears faster than expected and makes everyone ask what it is.
Organic farming practices, hand-harvested, fermentation in temperature-controlled stainless steel to preserve purity and freshness. Aged on fine lees before bottling to build texture and depth.
