2021 Domaine Santa Duc Châteauneuf-du-Pape ‘Les Saintes Vierges’
$75.00This single-vineyard wine comes from 70-year-old vines, co-planted by the legendary 6th-generation winemaker, Yves Gras. Domaine Santa Duc has been one of the top producers in the region for years, and this wine is a great example of why. If you’re a points person, it received 93-95 points across the board.
Ecocert-certified organic and Demeter-certified biodynamic, hand-harvested, unfined/unfltered and aged for 18 months in Stockinger foudres (the Rolls-Royce of oak).

2021 Walson Holland Sta. Rita Hills Pinot Noir
$95.00The 2021 Sta. Rita Hills Pinot Noir is a wine of elegance and nuance. Blueberry, black cherry and rich red fruit dominate the nose with subtle notes of rose petal, baking spices and clove beautifully woven together giving the wine layer upon layer of complexity. The bright fruit leads to a rich and full mid-palate, ripe tannins, ample acidity and a lengthy finish.
Whole cluster. Raised 22 months on the lees in French oak barrels, 30% new oak. Unfined and Unfiltered. 150 cases produced.

2019 Portelli Cerasuolo di Vittoria
$25.00We’re not sure if yummy is an official tasting note, but that’s what this wine is. The 2019 is a bright and energetic vintage; velvety and fresh. The blend of Frappato and Calabrese is a perfect marriage, balanced and complete. There is enough vibrance and freshness to drink well on its own, but just enough tannin and acid to be versatile at table.

2022 Pierre Riffault ‘7 Hommes’ Sancerre (half-bottle)
$26.00Sancerre is the “spiritual home” of Sauvignon Blanc. It’s considered to be the purest expression of Sauvignon Blanc on the planet and a wine we love for its versatility when it comes to food. This wine comes from 25+ year old vines that are sustainably farmed in clay-limestone and chalk soils. It’s vinified in stainless steel tanks to preserve freshness.

2021 Clefs des Murailles ‘Vacqueyras’ Rouge Red Blend
$31.00Let’s face it, we all love CDP (Chateauneuf-du-Pape), but most of us can’t afford to pull those corks on a daily basis. That is where ‘Vacqueyras’ comes in. It’s swimming in the next lane, with eerily similar characteristics, at a lower price. This is one of my party trick wines (looks pricey and tastes pricier).

2021 Domaine Pinson Frères Chablis ‘Les Clos’ Grand Cru
$125.00For those who love Chablis, you know that ‘Les Clos’ is the emblematic, top Grand Cru of Chablis. The 50+ year old vines sit on a steep slope and enjoy the perfect sun exposure which provides ideal ripening conditions. 2021 for Chablis is adamantly old-school in its tension and inscrutably mineral depths. If you had to describe the vintage in one word it would be ‘aristocratic.’

$26.00Libera Terra is a non-profit organization that has taken on the restoration of land in Italy that was previously controlled by the mafia. Centopassi is a collection of vineyards on Sicily that they confiscated from the mafia and gave back to the local farmers. The result are wines that are distinctively Sicilian – bright, refreshing, salty & volcanic – la dolce vita in a glass.
