- Table Talk Can Sumoi is a revived 17th-century farmhouse high in the mountains of Alt Penedès - and when the estate was restored, the team committed to farming the old vineyards completely biodynamically, without irrigation, letting the vines survive only on natural rainfall.
Can Sumoi is a high-elevation estate in the mountains of Penedès, Catalonia, dedicated to reviving indigenous Mediterranean varieties through organic, minimal-intervention farming. Spearheaded by the team behind Raventós i Blanc, the project focuses on restoring abandoned vineyards and working exclusively with native grapes like Sumoll and Garnatxa, fermented with native yeasts and bottled with little to no additives. The result is a fresh, vibrant, and transparent expression of Catalonia — wines that feel wild yet precise, shaped by limestone soils, mountain breezes, and a deep respect for tradition.
