  • Alain Graillot single-handedly put Crozes-Hermitage on the world map; his family’s domaine is now one of the most sought-after in the Northern Rhône. We poured this old-vine gem at a Syrah tasting and it blew every other wine out of the water. It stands up to the unicorn reputation and is a must-try for Syrah lovers.

  • The Carillon Domaine treats their Aligoté like their premier crus. This wine has deep golden yellow, intense color with a nose that shows off the wine’s subtle and masterful aging regimen. Grapefruit and light tropical notes lead to a palate that immediately offers a pleasant tension and nice freshness with a beautifully structured mid-palate and a savory finish. This wine elevates Aligoté to a class higher than its reputation.

  • This light rosé captures the essence of Provence with its delicate balance of fruit, floral notes, and refreshing minerality. It’s the kind of wine that fits in just as easily at a poolside lunch as it does with grilled seafood, summer salads, or a sunset aperitif. Bonus: it delivers Provence-like quality at a far friendlier price point.

  • Margaux has been looking for this wine since 2019 when she first discovered it at Chez Panisse. The old vine cuvée sang alongside roasted duck, green olives and celery root remoulade.

Thankfully the wine is still brilliant — On the palate it’s medium-bodied, vibrant and complex, with a beautiful core of fruit and smooth texture. This is one of the most exciting allocations of the year!

Enough said. It is a must-try.

  • Though part of the appeal of Fontsainte’s Gris de Gris is that it’s so drinkable on its own—with just a beach read, its adaptability to food only bolsters its charm. Try is with some salty cheese or simply some crudités.

  • Cahors is the sneakily sophisticated but humbler country cousin of Bordeaux. This is one of our favorite party picks.
