Gilgal Sauvignon Blanc is sourced from northern Golan Heights, Israel’s coolest winegrowing area with a strong reputation for quality Sauvignon Blanc that reflects the exceptional Mediterranean climate and growing conditions of the Galilee.

Showing the influence of the breezy and fog-laced Oak Knoll District, this wine offers plush fruit with delicate acidity, and a structure defined by well-ripened, fine-grained tannins. This Chardonnay comes from one of our most trusted winemakers, Marc Piro. The vineyard sits less than 20 miles from the Pacific Ocean which gives it a refreshing and crisp structure, but round fruit flavors. It’s the first Chardonnay under the Piro label and we were given exclusive access to allocate it for our club members.

This distinctly Mediterranean-style vermouth was developed by Raffaele Bellomi for his cocktail bar in Verona called, Bar Archivo. He was inspired by aromas he grew up with like the thyme and licorice plants his grandmother grew on her balcony. It’s more herbal than traditional vermouths which make it incredibly versatile.

Margaux has been looking for this wine since 2019 when she first discovered it at Chez Panisse. The old vine cuvée sang alongside roasted duck, green olives and celery root remoulade.
Thankfully the wine is still brilliant — On the palate it’s medium-bodied, vibrant and complex, with a beautiful core of fruit and smooth texture. This is one of the most exciting allocations of the year!
